Researcher biography

Damian Barrett is Director of the Centre for Water in the Minerals Industry at the Sustainable Minerals Institute. He has over 15 years experience in biogeochemical and biophysical modelling, remote sensing, model-data assimilation, and environmental physiology. His research has application in landscape hydrology and carbon and nutrient cycling, climate change and greenhouse gas mitigation, and natural resources management. He is currently developing new ways of quantifying, modeling and valuing ecosystem services for the development of sustainable management practices.
