Researcher biography

Liam Wagner is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland specialising in energy and environmental economics and policy. Prior to coming to the School of Economics, Dr Wagner worked as a Trading Analyst in the energy industry, providing electricity market forecasting expertise, advice on risk management, while also trading an Open Cycle Gas Turbine power station. In 2008 Dr Wagner was appointed to an Australian Government panel of experts to advise on the design and implementation of the proposed emissions trading scheme. His current research interests include:
