
Researcher biography
Prof Jurg Keller is Director of the Advanced Water Management Centre at the University of Queensland and Professor in the School of Chemical Engineering. He has also an Australian Professorial Fellowship from ARC (Australian Research Council). He has over 17 years experience in water industry research, particularly in biological wastewater treatment, environmental biotechnology, microbial fuel cells and water recycling. While working at the leading edge of research and development in this field, he is also heavily involved in collaborative and consulting projects with industry partners across Australia and New Zealand. He has been director of the AWMC since its inception in 1996. The Centre is one of the leading research centres in this field worldwide with over 60 staff and students investigating innovative ways to improve water management.
